Obituary

Our Mom, Candice L. Koski, born February 23, 1947, went to Heaven on September 17, 2026. She is now at peace and reunited with her beloved son Kevin, her parents, and the loved ones who went before her.

She leaves behind her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sisters, and all their families.

Candice loved her children Eddie, Kevin, Mavis, Shawn, Cory & Katrina more than anything in this world. She devoted so much of her life to raising and caring for us, often being both Mom & Dad, doing whatever she could to provide for her family.

We were her children, and that was a bond that can never be broken. Losing her son Kevin was one of the deepest losses of her life. Although she had to continue life without him, she never stopped loving or remembering him. It is comforting knowing that she is in Heaven with Kevin again, something we hope has brought her peace and happiness.

Mom was incredibly proud to be a grandmother, great-grandmother, and was looking forward to being a great-great-grandmother. She may not have been able to see all of them as often as she would have liked, but distance and time never meant they were forgotten. She was always asking about them, wondering what they were doing, what they were up to, and sharing how proud she was of them all. They were always in her heart. She loved knowing about the people they were becoming.

Mom found happiness in the simple things that made her who she was. She loved crafting, cooking, caring for her plants, and especially animals. Her love for animals was something she passed down to all her children, and it is a part of her that will continue to live on through each of us.

Although our hearts ache because we cannot have her here with us, we can find comfort knowing that Mom is in Heaven, surrounded by the people she loved and missed. We may not be able to see her, but the love she gave us will never leave us.

Mom, we love you and miss you more than words can say. We weren’t ready to say goodbye. You will always be our Mom. We will always be your children. The love between us will never end.

Until we see you again….

In honor of Candice’s lifelong love of animals, those wishing to remember her may make a donation to H.O.P.E. Animal Shelter in Ironwood, MI, in her name.
