Beverly A. Swanson, 74, of 246 Ashland Ct., Apt. 8, Ironwood, Mich., died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, in Hurley.      She was born Aug. 30, 1936, in Ironwood Township, daughter of the late Oscar and Ruby (Erickson) Swanson, attended township schools, and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1954.      Beverly was employed as a secretary at the A.L. Norrie Grade School for one year, and as a secretary in the superintendent's office in the Ironwood School District for 38 1/2 years, retiring as secretary to the superintendent and board of education in 1993.      She enjoyed arts and crafts, bike riding and crossword puzzles.      Surviving are a nephew, Eric (Kristy) Swanson, Seattle, Wash.; a sister-in-law, Georgia (Raymond) Loe, Whidbey Island, Wash.; numerous cousins, to include special cousins, Herbert and Judith Johnson, Ironwood; and her special friend, Kathy Johnson, Ironwood.      Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Swanson.      In accordance with Beverly's wishes, cremation has taken place.      Memorial services will be held Monday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m., at the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell St., in Ironwood, with the Rev. Mark Ortman, pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Ironwood, officiating.      Committal will follow.      Spring inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.      Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday.      In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Assembly of God Church, 2100 E.
