Barbara "Barb" A. Grochowski, 81, of Wausau, passed away at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

She was born on June 11, 1942, to Raymond Klafka and Jean (Cyranek) Woda in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was an avid seamstress and was known for her potato bags and American Girl doll clothes. Barb loved to bake, and care for her indoor plants. Barb enjoyed the sunsets on Stella Lake, first through vacationing at their cottage in the summers and then officially making it her home for 30 years.

Survived by sons Tony (Danni) Grochowski and Jeff Grochowski, grandson Joshua Grochowski, and sister Luann Peters

Preceded in death by her husband Carl Grochowski, brothers Jim and Jeff Klafka, and her parents.

A Memorial Service and celebration of life will be held for Barb on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:30 am in the Community Room at Mount View Care Center (North Central Health Care) in Wausau, Wisconsin preceded by visitation at 11:00 until the time of the service.
