Obituary

Anna Adeline "Adele" Moore, 86, of 619 W. Pabst St., Ironwood, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, in Ironwood.      She was born June 24, 1923 in Dunham (Wakefield), Michigan, at her grandparents' farm, daughter of August Walter and Anna Adeline (Hill) Johnson. She graduated from Wakefield High School in 1942.      She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Ironwood, and a member of the National Finnish American Festival.      She was married to Howard William (Bill) Moore on Dec. 21, 1953 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wakefield. He preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2008.      She is survived by three daughters, Janice (Jerry Eklund) Gulan of Ironwood, Maureen (Mike) Bracket of Green Bay, Wis., and Sherry (Brett) Richter of Ironwood Township; a son, Ernest Moore of Ironwood; 12 grandchildren, Michael (Caroline) Moore of Fridley, Minn., AnnaMarie (Tyler) Ferrell of Vadnais Heights, Minn., Laura Bracket of Madison, Wis., Marianne (Seth) Pease of Falls Church, Virginia, Sam Bracket of Houghton, Mich., Jake Richter of Duluth, Minn., James Moore of Tarapoto, Peru, Janet Richter of Marquette, Mich., Marcy Bracket of Green Bay, Wis., and Abbey, Benjamin and Christy Moore of Ironwood; four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Calvin Moore of Fridley, Minn., and Katie and Jane Ferrell of Vadnais Heights, Minn.; a sister, Joyce (Bill) Leinon of Montreal; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Barbara Johnson of Wakefield, Murial Gill of Sheboygan, Wis., Ernie and Betty Dahlke of Wyoming, and Colleen and Orlie Schrimpf of Arizona.      She was preceded in death by five brothers, Eugene Walter, Richard Henry, Ralph Raymond, Ernest William, and David Keith in infancy; three sisters, Audrey Lorraine Gokey, Beatrice Bernice Bertagnoli, and Grace Elaine Ozzello; a son-in-law, John "Red" Gulan; a daughter-in-law, Carla Moore; and two grandchildren, Adeline Moore and Anthony John "Tony" Bracket.      A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ironwood, with the Rev. Wesley "Bo" Baumeister officiating.      Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church on Saturday.
