Obituary for Wilma C. Ruditis

Wilma C. Ruditis, 92, of 316
W. Birch St., Ironwood, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, in Ironwood.      The former Wilma Dravecky was born Aug. 27,
1918, in North Union, Penn., daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Dravecky. She
came to Ironwood at the age of three and attended Ironwood schools. She worked
in housekeeping for various families in Ironwood for many years.      Wilma was a member of Our Lady of Peace
Catholic Church in Ironwood and a former member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
She enjoyed playing bingo and working around her home.      On Feb. 25, 1941, she married John W. Ruditis
at Holy Trinity Church. He preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2003.      Surviving are a son, John Jr., Ironwood, and
daughter, Joanne Connolly, Jensen Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren; a sister, Vernie McMahon, Chicago; sister-in-law, Petra
Dravecky, San Antonio, Tx.; brother-in-law, Steve Vronich, Tinley Park, Ill.;
and numerous nieces and nephews.      Besides her parents and husband, Wilma was
preceded in death by two brothers, John "Witsie" and Joseph Dravecky; and two
sisters, Margaret Fisher and Ann Vronich.      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
Thursday, Dec. 2, at noon, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood,
with the Rev. Darryl J. Pepin, celebrant.      Rite of Committal will take place in the St.
Joseph Family Room at the church, with luncheon to follow in the parish
hall.      Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery,
Ironwood.      Relatives and friends may call in the St.
Joseph Family Room at the church from 11 a.m. until noon on
