Obituary for Timothy Daniel Piasecki

Timothy Daniel Piasecki, 34, of
Clayton, and formerly of  Ironwood, Mich., died unexpectedly Monday, May 30,
2011, in his home.      Tim was born Sept. 17, 1976, in Iron Mountain,
Mich.,  the son of Robert and the late Barbara (Jurakovich) Piasecki. He
attended Our Lady of Peace Catholic Grade School in Ironwood and graduated from
Luther L. Wright High School in 1994. He then received an associate degree from
Gogebic Community College and attended Michigan Tech University's electrical
engineering program in Houghton, Mich. for one year.      He moved to Clayton, N.C. in 1998, where he
was employed as a courier, and currently owned and operated his own courier
service.      Tim loved nature and wildlife; and he and his
significant other, Shana Pinkerton, enjoyed hiking the mountains and observing
nature. His hobby and lifelong passion was working on and restoring old cars.
He also loved music, played a variety of instruments, and was a former member of
Marty's Goldenaires in Bessemer, Mich.      Surviving are his significant other, Shana
Pinkelton, of Clayton; his father, Robert Piasecki (Ellen Rustad), and paternal
grandmother, Julia Piasecki, both of Ironwood; his sister, Jennifer (Darren)
Dums, South Range, Wis.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.      Besides his mother, Barbara Ann Piasecki, who
died on April 29, 1997, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather,
Frank Piasecki; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Inez (Krainak) Jurakovich; and
uncle, David Jurakovich.      As per Tim's wishes, cremation has taken
place.      Visitation will be held Saturday, June 11,
from 10 to 11 a.m., in the St. Joseph Family Room at Our Lady of Peace Catholic
Church in Ironwood, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11
a.m., with the Rev. Darryl J. Pepin, celebrant.      Rite of Committal will take place in the St.
Joseph Family Room at the church, with luncheon to follow in the parish
hall.      Private inurnment will be in Riverside
