Obituary for Theresa Ann Kurta

Theresa Ann Kurta, 50, of
Ironwood, died Monday, March 28, 2011, at Aspirus Grand View Hospital in
Ironwood, following a battle with lung cancer.      The former Theresa Grawey was born May 17,
1960, in Ironwood, to Patricia (Hill) and the late Delbert Grawey. She attended
A.L. Norrie Grade School and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in
1978. She was employed at Simpson Electric in Mercer, Wis., Tru-Flight in
Manitowish Waters, Wis., and in housekeeping at Big Powderhorn
Mountain.      Theresa loved to dance, pick agates, and
go camping, fishing, four-wheeling and snowmobiling. She had a wonderful sense
of humor.      She married Louie Kurta on Oct. 13, 1989, in
Hurley. He survives.      Also surviving are her daughter, Deanna
Constantini, of Ironwood; two grandchildren, Makayla Constantini and Victoria
Preli; her mother, Patricia Grawey, Ironwood; a brother, Delbert (Vickie)
Grawey, Blaine, Minn.; three step-children, Christine (Randy) Hedman and Kim
(Dave) Martin, both of Ironwood, and Amanda Kurta, Indiana; five
step-grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.      Preceding her in death were her father,
Delbert Grawey, on March 24, 2010; an uncle, Gary Grawey; grandparents, Bill and
Marvel Grawey and Earl and Evelyn Hill; and a cousin, Darryl Hill.      Out of respect for Theresa's wishes, cremation
has taken place.      Private family services and inurnment will be
