Susan A. “Sue” Summerhill, 72, of Mercer, passed away on March 28, 2020 in Mercer, Wisconsin.
She was born on November 6, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Robert and Shirley (Kautz) Calpin She graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts Degree
.
Susan married Robert “Bob” Summerhill on January 26, 1980 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Mundelein, Illinois. He survives.
She loved art and enjoyed doing watercolors and pottery. She also enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved being up north, and she and Bob bought their home on Spider Lake in Mercer in 1985. She was a wonderful, wife; mother and grandmother; and she was Bob’s favorite fishing buddy.
Susan was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mercer and a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Shirley Calpin.
Susan is survived by her husband, Bob; daughters, Kristine (Scott) Krocka of Crystal Lake, Illinois and Jennifer (Luke) Schlueter of Mercer; and grandchildren, Tyler Krocka and Aurora, Gabriella and Andrew Schlueter.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
