Sharon Evelyn Anderson, 78, of Ironwood, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Sharon was born in Ironwood, Michigan, to Samuel and Taimi (Korhonen) Rappley on November 12, 1944. She married Raynard Forrest Anderson on November 30, 1963.

Sharon’s favorite things to do were going to the casino with her sisters and family, knitting, word searches, and puzzles, taking rides around Lake Superior, and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Sharon worked throughout the years at the Indianhead Motel, Josephson's Nursing Home, and Dairyman’s, where she worked alongside her eldest daughter, Yvonne Renee Anderson, and her eldest granddaughter, Tera Marie Cannon.

She is preceded in passing by her parents, Samuel and Taimi (Korhonen) Rappley; husband, Raynard Forrest Anderson; her sisters, Myrna Jaster and June Anderson; brother Neil Rappley; and five nephews.

She is survived by her children Yvonne Renee Anderson (Tom Asunto), Darryl Forrest (Pamela) Anderson, Sharon Rae Anderson, and her sister, Betty Knight. Grandchildren; Tera Marie Cannon, D.J. (Darryl Forrest) Anderson Jr., Shania Yvonne Anderson, and Devon Leelin Anderson; great-grandchildren; Colton James Anderson, Scarlett Jane Vigil, and the expected arrival of a baby in June 2023.

There will be a luncheon Friday, December 16, at 2 PM at the Elk & Hound Restaurant and Country Club. All family and friends are welcome.
