Obituary for Rosemary Grulkowski

Rosemary Grulkowski, 74, of
Mercer, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Howard Young Medical Center in
Woodruff.      The former Rosemary Stima was born Sept. 22,
1936, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Maximilian and Angeline (Voit) Stima,
and attended Lincoln High School there.      She married Carl W. Grulkowski on June 27,
1953, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Milwaukee. She worked at The
Chocolate House in Milwaukee for several years prior to moving to Mercer in
1970, where she was employed at Simpson Electric Co. for 38 years until her
retirement.     Rosemary was a member of St. Isaac Jogues
Catholic Church in Mercer. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed
spending time with her grandchildren.     Surviving are her husband, Carl, of 58 years;
eight children, Cathrine (Bob) Van Calister, Green Bay, Bonnie (Henry) Stegall,
Chicago, Jerome Grulkowski, Coleman, Jeanette (Jeff) Bandura, Joliet, Ill.,
Dennis (Rose) Grulkowski, Kewaunee, Jacqueline (Steve) Mkrtschjan, Chicago,
Terrie (Steve) Farrington, Loda, Ill, and Phyllis (Alan) Claypool, Norridge,
Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren; a brother, David (Ellen) Stima, Milwaukee; three
sisters, Delores Platz, Sullivan, Dorothy Grabowski, West Allis, and Linda
(William) Werner, Port Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.      Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by a daughter, Debra Eschner; and a brother, Max Stima.      Out of respect for Rosemary's wishes,
cremation has taken place.      Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, beginning
at 10 a.m., at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Mercer, where a Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Lourdu Mandapati,
celebrant.      Rite of Committal and inurnment will follow in
the Mercer Cemetery.      Luncheon will be served in the parish hall
immediately upon return from the cemetery.      In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to
St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 5214N Lakeview Ave., Mercer, Wis.
