Rose M. Panich, 90, of Ironwood entered eternal life on Monday, June 8, 2020, at Westgate Nursing, Rehabilitation & Assisted Living Community in Ironwood, Michigan.

She was born on March 9, 1930, daughter to John and Genevieve (Armata) Cisewski. After graduation from high school in 1948, she continued her education at the Chicago Business College.

On May 5, 1951, she married Peter Panich of Ironwood at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montreal, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death in 2007.

Rose worked as a waitress for many years, in particular, at Frankie & Johnny’s, St. James Hotel, and the Towne House, retiring at age 70. She worked relentlessly all her life so her boys had all they needed without regard for herself. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Genevieve Cisewski; husband, Peter; stepmother, Bernice, grandson, Ryan Panich; granddaughter, Nicole Panich; stepbrothers, Louie, Joseph, and Robert Stanczak; mother and father-in-law, Marko and Katherine Panich; brothers-in-law, Steve Bunjevac, Bill Schmalz, and Mark Panich; sisters-in-law, Martha Hosking, Louise Muller, Stella Schmalz, Marie Foreman, Eula Panich, and Andre Panich; niece, Tammy Panich, and nephews, Robert Hosking and Steve and Ronald Bunjevac.

Rose is survived by five sons, Dennis of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Tom (Linda) of Appleton, Wisconsin, Brian of Ironwood, Paul (Sheryl) of Painesville, Ohio, and Richard (Lisa) of Bangkok, Thailand; her very dear sister, Dorothy Bunjevac of Ironwood; brother-in-law, George Panich, sister-in-law, Mary Stanczak 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 6, 2020, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood at 11 am with Fr. Binu Joseph as celebrant, preceded by a visitation from 10-11 am.

Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood.

"We knew that you were suffering, we knew you were in pain, we knew you'd never get well, on this Earth again. So He closed your weary eyes and He whispered "Peace be thine", then He took you up to Heaven, so gentle, so kind."
