Robert Gust “Butchie” Kangas, 80, of Wakefield, Mich. and a resident of Gogebic Medical Care Facility, died on Friday, January 25, 2019.      He was born in Ironwood, Mich. on January 17, 1939, son of Gust and Lillian Kangas.      Robert is survived by his siblings, Marvin (Helen) Kangas, Bessemer, Bernice (Florian) Supercynski, Aurora, Colo., Joyce Hession, Saline, Mich., Deloris (John) Stefanik, Greendale, Wisc., Arla (Sulo) Romo, Ironwood, Mich. and Larry (Diane) Kangas, Wakefield; brother-in-law, Donald Cvengros, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.      He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Vivian Katapol, Jane Cvengros, and Keith Kangas and brothers-in-law, Tom Katapol and Charles Hession.      The family wishes to thank the staff of Gogebic Medical Care Facility for the wonderful care Butchie received while a resident there for 11 years.      A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. at MclKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, Ironwood, with Pastor Bruce Estola officiating, preceded by a visitation from 10-11 a.m.      The family would also like to thank Pastor Bruce Estola for his kind words and blessings and a very special caretaker, Keri.      Ketola-Burla Funeral Home, Ironwood, is assisting the family.      For more information or to express online condolences, please visit rangefuneralservices.com.
