Ralph C. Reese, age 98 of Mercer, died Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Angels Grace Hospice in

Ralph was born in Milwaukee, WI on February 24, 1924, the son of the late Robert O. Reese and Margaret Reese (nee Rack). He graduated in 1942 from Custer High School in Milwaukee. He was immediately drafted, and he served as a Corporal in the Army Air Corps. He completed his Bachelor of Science, Industrial Arts degree at Tennessee Tech. He married Juanita Warren on September 21, 1944, in Cookeville, TN, and they lived in the Milwaukee area for 35 years, moving to Mercer in 1986. They spent 67 wonderful years together, before her passing in 2012. Ralph had a short career as an Industrial Arts teacher, but he was mostly known for his landscaping company, which he started with his father and handed down to his sons. He won an award for the best executed landscaping job. He was a constant worker, and he loved working outdoors, in the woods, and in his barn on machinery. He also was an avid golfer, with at least one hole in one, and many team championships when he and Juanita would team up. He enjoyed wintering in the Villages, Florida,
where his neighbors became special friends to him. He had a smile that warmed hearts, and he dearly loved his family, creating a home in the woods where the family could gather and enjoy the nature that he so loved. He had special soft spots for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are sons, Kenneth W. Reese (Denise) and James R. Reese (Marla), both of Delafield; two grandchildren, Laura (Tom) Rademacher, of Burnsville, MN and Steven (Meghann) Reese of St. Cloud, MN.; and two great-grandchildren, Sean M. Reese and Juniper M. Rademacher. He is also survived by his sister, Joyce Pannenbacker of Texas, sister-in-law Maryanne Warren of Franklin, Tennessee, brother-in-law Fred Hart of Mercer as well as beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Juanita, son William W. Reese, siblings, Robert Reese, Shirley Reese, Lorraine Sager, Audrey Reese, sister in-law Anna Hart, brother-in law James Warren, and many wonderful friends, whom he spoke of often and fondly. He will be dearly missed.
