Obituary for Mary Ann "McDonald" Naylor

Mary Ann (McDonald) Naylor, 68,
of Phelps, and a native of Ironwood, Mich., died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 8,
2011, in Phelps.      She was born Jan. 25, 1943, in Ross County,
Calif., daughter of Shirley (Van Stratum) and the late William B. McDonald,
attended Ironwood schools, and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in
1960. She then attended Gogebic Community College and graduated from the Duluth
Clinic Laboratory Technician Program in Duluth, Minn. in 1963. She later
received a degree in medical technology and was employed in that field for many
years, retiring in August 2010.      Surviving are her partner, Gene Naylor, of
Phelps; children, Kristen (James) Hebert, DePere, and Gary Henningsen, Wisconsin
Dells; grandchildren, Christopher and Victoria Hebert and Tristin Henningsen;
her mother, Shirley McDonald, Hurley; a brother, William B. McDonald II (Karen),
Cottage Grove, Minn.; two sisters, Deborah (Dennis) Routheaux and Linda (Dennis)
Ellos, both of Ironwood Township; many nieces, nephews and friends; and her
faithful companion, Riley.      Out of respect for Mary Ann's wishes,
cremation has taken place and no services will be held.      Private inurnment will be in Riverside
Cemetery, Ironwood.      Online condolences may be given to the family
