Obituary for Marilyn A. Trudgeon

Marilyn A. Trudgeon, 82, of
Mercer, died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park
Falls.      She was born Feb. 24, 1928, in Milwaukee,
daughter of the late John and Harriet "Hattie" (Hoffa) Ogden, and resided in St.
Francis, Wis. until moving to Mercer in 1976.      She was employed at Tri-State Homes in
Mercer and worked for Laurel Garbe at The Warehouse in Mercer, retiring in
2002.      Marilyn was a member of Mercer United
Methodist Church and the Mercer Art Club, and enjoyed oil painting, reading,
needlework and listening to music.      On June 11, 1955, she was united in marriage
to William D. "Bill" Trudgeon at the South Milwaukee Methodist Church. He
preceded her in death on May 1, 2006.      Surviving are cousins, Joan Gossen, Tomahawk,
Peggy Holmberg Garoutte, Minocqua, and Ruth Holmberg Reed, Edina, Minn.; a
sister-in-law, Dorathea Trudgeon, Minneapolis; and special friends, Laurel Garbe
and Shirley Garza, both of Mercer.      Out of respect for Marilyn's wishes, cremation
has taken place.      A memorial service will be held Wednesday,
Aug. 11, at 11 a.m., at the Mercer United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kathy
Huneywell, pastor, officiating.      Luncheon will follow in the church fellowship
hall.      Friends may call at the church one hour prior
to the service on Wednesday, Aug. 11.      In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to
the Mercer United Methodist Church.      Online tributes may be made at
