Obituary for Margaret A. "Marge" Novak

Margaret A. "Marge" Novak,
85, of Hurley, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, in Ironwood, following a brief
illness.
     Marge was born May 22, 1926, in Ironwood,
daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Schuler) Novak, and attended Ironwood
schools.
     She was employed at Bob's Dairy Bar (Uptown
Cafe) and Len's Dairy Store in Ironwood, and at Guido's Pasty Shop, Poor John's
Cafe, Rodeghiero's Bakery, and the Pure Dairy "PD" in Hurley.
     She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic
Church, Ironwood, and St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hurley. She resided with her
sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Ozzie Forslund, in Hurley for most of her
adult life.
     Surviving are two sisters, Anne Forslund,
Hurley, and Mary Oie, Wakefield; half sister-in-law, Barb Novak, Presque Isle,
Wis.; nephews and nieces, Doug Forslund, Manitowish Waters, Wis., Patty Maki,
Woodruff, Wis., Mary Beth, Bob (Barb), and Jim (Patty) Oie and Julie (Jim)
Krznarich, all of Ironwood, Roland (Angela) Paulsen, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.,
Marcia (Gene) Jacobsen, Wausau, Wis., and Rita (Dennis) Kananen, Brighton,
Mich.; and several grand and great-grand nephews and nieces.
     Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by siblings, Albert Novak Jr., Betty Larson,  Frank and  John Novak and Julia
Paulsen; several half-brothers and sisters; and a nephew, John Oie.
     Out of respect for Marge's wishes, cremation
has taken place.
     There will be no visitation.
     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
Saturday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley, with the
Rev. Frank Kordek OFM, celebrant.
     Private committal and inurnment will be in
Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.
