Marcia J. Smith, 76, of Bessemer, Michigan, passed away on September 28, 2023.

She was born in Pontiac, Michigan, on December 24, 1946, to Dorothea and Kenneth Hanson.

Marcia attended Waterford Township High School.

She was married to the love of her life, Roger, for 49 incredible years. He said he wished it could have been for 149 years. She was tough as nails, with a heart of gold and a wicked pinky hold.

She loved all things the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. The radio or TV was always on if a game was being played.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. She also never met a child she did not love straight away. She made friends with everyone she met along the way.

She loved the outdoors, campfires, and everything it comes with: birds, deer, raccoons, etc. She just loved being outside.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Ronald Hanson, and grandson Jacob Arcouette.

She is survived by her husband, Roger B. Smith of Bessemer, Michigan.

Ethan and Owen Smith of Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Great grandchildren Bailee and Noah Miller of Laconia, New Hampshire.
Siblings Sharon (Hanson) Brown and Kevin and Gail Hanson, both of Pontiac, Michigan.
