Obituary for Linda C. Grandelis

Hurley, Wis.- Linda C. Grandelis, 90, a
lifelong South Carey, Hurley resident, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, in Hurley,
with her family by her side.      The former Linda DaPra was born May 14, 1919,
in Hurley, daughter of the late Louis and Giovanna (Baldovin) DaPra, and
attended the Cary and St. Mary's School.      She was married to Mario Grandelis on Feb. 22,
1938, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley. He preceded her in death on July
12, 1989.      Linda worked at the Roma Inn in Ironwood as a
young woman, and was employed at Hurley Plastics and Hurley
Aeronautics.      She was a member of St. Mary's Church in
Hurley and its' Council of Catholic Women, and the Iron County Senior Center.
She was a wonderful cook and known for her chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin
cookies She was a caring and loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly
missed.      Surviving are three daughters, Virginia (Bob)
Sertich, Racine; Mary Alice (Charles) Boutan, Pleasant Prairie; and Jean (Dan)
Binczak, Eau Claire; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five
great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.      Besides her parents and husband, Linda was
preceded in death by a great-grandson, Gary Sertich Jr., in 1988; a brother,
Claude DaPra; and sister, Linda DaPra.      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
Friday, March 5, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley, with the
Rev. Michael Hayden, celebrant.      Rite of Committal will follow at the
church.      Spring burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery,
Hurley.      Relatives and friends may call at the church
from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday.      Pallbearers will be grandsons and one
great-grandson to include Chuck Boutan, Bob, Gary, Jim, Brian and Jeff Sertich,
and Bob and Brian Binczak.      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may
