Obituary for Linda J. Anderson

Linda J. Anderson, 60, of 415
So. Norfolk St., Ironwood, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May, 9, 2011, at
home.      She was born May 14, 1950 in Hurley, Wis. to
the late Kenneth and Oddny (Hagen) Anderson. Linda graduated from L.L. Wright
High School in Ironwood in 1968, and Gogebic Community College with an associate
degree in medical transcription in 1978.. She also became an emergency medical
technician. She went on to work as a certified nurse's aide at Gogebic Medical
Care Facility in Wakefield as well as other local long-term care facilities.
Linda also worked as a delivery person until her retirement in 1995 due to ill
health.      Linda loved her dogs and for a long time bred
Shetland sheepdogs that were loving family members. Linda was a loving and
giving person who took care of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and
nephews. She had a great deal of love for her family and friends and would help
out in any way possible.      Linda is survived by her long-term friend and
housemate, Prudence Aho, of Ironwood; two brothers, Donald (Renee) Anderson,
Ironwood, and Eric (Jean) Anderson, Marshfield, Wis.; five sisters, Sally
Abramson, Ironwood; Susan Anderson (Sue Barnaby), Bergland; Dawn (James, Sr.) Mylly. and Jill (Kim) Kangas, both of Ironwood; and Laurie Traczyk (Mark Wesa),
Wausau, Wis.; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and
nephews.      Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by a brother, Daniel Anderson, in infancy.      Out of respect for Linda's wishes, cremation
has taken place.      Visitation will be held Friday, May 13, from
noon to 1 p.m., at Good Shepherd Community Apostolic Lutheran Church in Kimball,
Wis., followed by memorial services at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Norman Kangas
officiating.      Luncheon will follow in the church fellowship
