Obituary for Kendall C Koski

Kendall C . .Koski, age 58, Iron Belt, Wisconsin, passed away on February 16, 2018.      Kendall was born April 16, 1959 in Ironwood, Michigan to Raymond and Marion (Lantta) Koski.  He was a 1977 graduate of J.E. Murphy High School in Hurley, Wisconsin    . On October 13, 1990 he married the former Mary Schmude and the two built a life and raised a family together. Family was very important to Kendall. He loved being a father and grandfather and especially enjoyed his “Sunday Funday” with his family. He was currently looking forward with excitement to his daughter Amelia and her children returning to the area and bringing his family back together again. He also loved his dogs. His dog Lola, passed away recently and his new pup Stormy was filling the hole in his heart from when Lola died. He enjoyed being in the woods, hunting, 4-wheeling and spending time at Camp Saw Buck. To his friends and family, he was known as someone who was always thinking of others who you could always count on to pitch in and lend a hand when needed.      Kendall was a very hard worker. He was a longtime employee of Terry Peters Logging and was always a “Company Man”. He was able to work there with his best friend Jake, who the family affectionately called his “Woods Wife” and loved working in his bulldozer.  He was a Town Supervisor for the Town of Knight for many years and had recently joined the Emergency Management Council for Iron County. He was also a member of the Saxon Harbor Boating Club and a former member of the Borderline Beagle Club and the Gogebic-Range Beagle Club.      Kendall will be sadly missed by his wife Mary, his: daughter Amelia Koski and her sons Gavyn and Lucas; son Taylor Koski and daughter Hannah and her “grand-dogs” Clutch and Doc, 2 sisters: Susan (Merle) Schutte of Highbridge and Joan Donaldson of Pine Lake, his sister-in-law Kathy Koski, Mary’s parents Robert and Patricia Schmude, his best friend Jake as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.      He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Mitchell Koski.      There will be a reception to celebrate Kendall’s life at The Elk and Hound Restaurant, 200 Country Club Road in Ironwood on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. There will be a memorial service and a time to share memories at the Elk and Hound on Wednesday at 6:00pm.      For more information and to express condolences, please visit www.mckevittpatrickfuneralhome.com.
