Obituary for Jennie "Metos" Koski

Jennie (Metos) Koski, 71, of 302 W. Birch Street,
Ironwood, Mich., died Saturday, March 13 th , 2010, at St. Mary’s
Hospital in Rochester, after a courageous battle with Crohn’s
disease.     
Jennie was born July 19, 1938, in Paynesville, Mich., to the late Thomas
and Jennie Metos.     
On December 17, 1960, she was married to the late Robert “Copper” Koski
at the Trout Creek, Mich. Lutheran Church by the Rev. Niemi.     
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Koski (Daryle), Montreal,
Wis., and Teresa (Rusty) Schulz, Cannon Falls, Minn.; her brothers, Jimmy Metas,
Paynesville,   Alex (Brenda) Metas,   Bruce Crossing, Mich., and Tommy (Sis) Metas,
Milwaukee; sisters, Katie Moilanen, Trout Creek,   Effie Thomas, Bruce Crossing, Mary DeZur,
Hurley, Wis., Sylvia (Sam) Sain, Marquette, Mich., and Dorothy Metas, Milwaukee;
4 grandchildren,   Michaela (Jeff)
Cornelius, Gunterville, AL,   Jennica
Crockett, Hurley, Rusty Schulz Jr, Rapid City, SD, and Marcus Schulz, Cannon
Falls; 2 great-grandchildren, Kollin Stewart and Taylor Stewart; numerous
nieces and nephews; and her friend and companion, Art Dailey, Ironwood.     
Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brothers, John,
George and Robert   Metas; and her
parents, Thomas and Jennie Metos.     
Pallbearers will be Peter Jilk, Alex Metas Jr., Tony Dezur, David Smith,
Jacob Semple and Bill Ahola.     
Visitation will be Saturday, March 20, at 11 am, with a Celebration of
Jennie’s Life to follow at noon, at McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell
St., in Ironwood, with Pat Semple officiating.  
Luncheon will be held at the Hurley Inn following the
service.     
Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.
