Obituary for Inge Lili Jakeway

Inge Lili Jakeway, 76, of 211
So. Mansfield St., Ironwood, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011, in
Ironwood.      The former Inge Lili Montag was born Jan. 26,
1935 in Morfelden, Germany, daughter of the late Heinrich and Maria Montag, and
attended school there.      She married Roy Donald Jakeway on May 16, 1961
in Frankfurt, Germany, moving to Ironwood in 1964.      Inge dedicated her life to raising her family
who were most important to her. She loved to shop, and enjoyed collecting
antiques, crystal and jewelry. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma and
friend, and will truly be missed by all.      Surviving are her husband, Roy Donald, of 50
years; a son, Robert (Vicki), Brooklyn; three daughters, Brenda Jakeway,
Ironwood, Jessica (Roger) Hurd, Allen Park,  and Ursula (Hubertus) Kromm,
Grafenhausen, Germany; five grandchildren, Jay (Kristin), Josh, Kyle, Amanda and Eric; one
great-grandson, Kyler; and special family friend, Joni Rickard,
Ironwood.      Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by a daughter, Janet Moyer, on Dec. 7, 2008; and a brother, Rolf
Montag.      Out of respect for Inge's wishes, cremation
has taken place.      Graveside services and committal will be held
Saturday, July 16, at 12:30 p.m., in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood, with the Rev.
Jean B. Rencontre officiating.      Inurnment will follow.      Online condolences may be given to Inge's
