Helen Marie Lindstrom 79 of Ontonagon, Michigan passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 after a lengthy stay at Aspirus Long Term Care with her family by he side. She was born on January 25, 1937 to George and Hilda (Tikka) Laukka in Hancock, MI. She attended school in Hancock and Chassell. On October 9, 1954 Helen married Roy Lindstrom in Laurium, MI. They made their home in Ontonagon. Helen was a loving and doting wife, mother and grandmother. Her love continues in the hearts of her family. She enjoyed family gatherings, picnics, camping and snowmobiling with family and close friends. Helen is survived by her husband,Roy; daughters; Susie (David) Guilbault, Shelly (Tom) Quick,Carol (Elmer)Marks, Connie (Pete) Thompson and son; Raymond (Sheryl) Lindstrom; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her step-sister, Mary Erva and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, CatherineLaukka; brother and sister-in-law,Kenneth and Nancy Laukka; step-brother, RobertEade; step-brother-in-law,GeraldErva; her daughter,Sherry; nephew, Raymond Erva and niece, Judy Erva. A celebration of Helen's life will be held 3 - 6 pm on Friday, November 11, 2016 at The Eagle's in Ontonagon.
