Edward Oren Spies, Jr., 66, of Ironwood passed away at the Westgate Nursing Home on Saturday, February 27, 2021.
He was born the son of Edward O. and Elsie A. (Kottman) Spies on March 31, 1954 in Chicago, IL.
He was united in marriage with Debby Perusse in 1996. He loved to spend his time building and tinkering on computers and bikes. Ed enjoyed taking car rides and listening to music. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.
Ed is survived by his daughters, Kelly Spies of Ironwood and Brenda Perusse of Hurley; sons-in-law; Alex Quick and Jereme Tauer and, his wife, Debby Perusse; brother, Leonard Spies, 5 sisters, Beverly Liedke, Shirley Spies, Carolyn Kinnunen, Lucinda Williams and Gloria Tessemer; his grandchildren. Christopher and Nicholas Oren Perusse; and his best friends. Richard and Terena Golombiski.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elsie; his brother; Wally Spies; his sister, Elsie (Dolly) Murphy; and his nephew, Clifford Kinnunen.
