Donald J. “Donnie” Brunner, 84, of Mercer, passed away on December 8, 2019, in Woodruff, Wisconsin.
He was born on October 17, 1935, in Mercer, Wisconsin, the son of Joseph and Ruth (Vaughn) Brunner.
Donald served his country in the U. S. Army and then worked as a construction worker for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the great outdoors and people. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He and his wife lived in Neenah for many years and moved back to Mercer in 1980.
He married Carol Van Gomple on December 13, 1959, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha. She survives.
Donald is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Sueanne (John) Kosidowski and Karrie (Kevin) Yineman; grandchildren, Hunter, Tanner, Forrest and Beau Yineman and sisters, Eileen and Lenore.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lorraine.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
