Obituary for Annette Marion "Netts" Wesman

Annette Marion "Netts" Wesman, 73, of 720 E. Pabst St., Ironwood, passed away
peacefully in her sleep Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at home.      She was born March 8, 1937, in Bruce Crossing,
daughter of the late Sylvester and Ethel (Danielson) Neuman, and graduated from
Ewen High School in 1955.      She was married to George A. Wesman on Aug.
18, 1956 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bruce Crossing. They resided in Iron
River and Iron Mountain before moving to Ironwood in 1966. George preceded her
in death on Aug. 18, 2005.      Netts worked in food service at Luther L.
Wright High School for 30 years, retiring in 2003 as Michigan's longest tenured
employee. She continued with her love for cooking by working not only at the Elk
& Hound and the Uptown Cafe but also for her many friends and family.
Other hobbies included playing cards and games
alike, and traveling with her best friend, Sharron Hill. The most important
aspect of Netts' life was her love for people; no matter who you were, she
treated you as family.      She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in
Ironwood, the Aurora Athletic Club, Norrie Amateur Sports Club Inc., and
MESSA.      Surviving are a son, Frank (Nina), and
daughter, Kimberly Paider, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren, Jenn,
Elizabeth, Ali, Natalie, Reggie and Vicki; a great-granddaughter, Sofia; a
brother, Dan (Rosemary) Neuman, Green Bay, Wis.; a sister, Rainey (Carl) Moll,
Bruce Crossing; numerous nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Eva Wesman,
Livonia, and Bertha Store, Ontonagon.        In accordance with Netts' wishes, cremation
has taken place.      A memorial service will be held Wednesday,
Oct. 13, at noon CDT, at the McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, 305 N. Lowell St. in
Ironwood, with Netts' nephew, Shawn Moll, presiding.      Luncheon will follow at the Elk & Hound on
Country Club Rd. in Ironwood.      Private committal and interment will be in
Maple Grove Cemetery, Bruce Crossing.      Relatives and friends may call at the funeral
