Obituary for Annaliese M. Wisnewski

Anneliese M. Wisnewski, 85,
of 504 Oak St., Hurley, Wis., died Friday, March 4, 2011, in
Ironwood.      The former Anneliese Tillack was born July 3,
1925, in Berlin, Germany, daughter of the late Frederico and Gertrud (Selle)
Tillack. She attended school in Berlin and became a gymnastics
teacher.      She met Henry S. Wisnewski when he was
stationed in Germany in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II. The couple
were married on Aug. 13, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley, by the
late Msgr. Michael A. Prock.   Anneliese worked at
the Grand View Hospital and as a waitress at Joe's Drive-In in Ironwood while
they lived in Hurley. They then resided in LaGrange, Ill for 12 years before
returning to Hurley in 1980. Henry preceded Anneliese in death on Nov. 30,
1995.      Anneliese was an energetic, expressive and
assertive woman. She enjoyed swimming with her group at the Holiday Inn in
Hurley, loved to dance, and have fun. She also enjoyed flowers, was an excellent
cook, and loved to dress in nice clothes. She especially enjoyed spending time
with her family.      Surviving are two sons, Henry (Linda),
Shoreview, Minn., and Mark, Hurley.      Besides her parents and husband, she was
preceded in death by a son, Ramon.      Out of respect for Anneliese's wishes,
cremation has taken place.      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
Thursday, March 10, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley, with
the Rev. Frank Kordek, O.F.M., celebrant.      Rite of Committal will take place at the
church, with luncheon to follow in the parish hall.      Spring inurnment will be in St. Mary's
Cemetery, Hurley.      Friends may call at the church from 10 to 11
