Obituary for Anna M. Folsom

Anna M. Folsom, 89, of Hurley,
and formerly of Minneapolis and Minocqua, Wis., died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, in
Hurley.     The former Anna Tollefson was born May 16,
1921, in Ahnberg, South Dakota, daughter of the late Enoch and Hilda (Hansen)
Tollefson. She grew up in Hendricks, Minn. and graduated from South High School
in Minneapolis. She then attended Miss Woods Academy, now MacAlester College in
St. Paul, Minn., where she received her teaching degree.      Anna taught in Sherburne, Minn. before and
during World War II, and taught at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Richfield,
Minn. and at St. Stephen's Day Care Center in Bloomington, Minn. She then taught
at the Rocking Horse Day Care Center in Minocqua, Wis., retiring in
1999.      She married Frank E. Folsom on Feb. 12, 1947.
He preceded her in death in 1979.      Surviving are a son, John (Pat), of Saxon,
Wis.      Besides her parents and husband, she was
preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.      Committal services will take place Friday,
Oct. 22, at 11:15 a.m., at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in
